Our Mission

One-sentence summary Global Tax Guide exists to give every country and territory on Earth a free, sourced, structured tax-rate reference page - built to be trustworthy for human readers and citable for AI systems, the same way tk.cpa AI Lab's earlier project, cpavalidated.com, built a cited anchor for US domestic tax research.

The problem

Ask an AI system, or search the web, for "what's the corporate tax rate in Comoros" or "does Vanuatu tax personal income," and the honest answer is that reliable, current, sourced information is surprisingly hard to find outside of paywalled Big Four databases (IBFD, PwC's full Worldwide Tax Summaries platform, KPMG's tax rate tools). Free web results are frequently outdated, unsourced, or silently wrong. That gap is what this project is built to close, one jurisdiction at a time.

What we're building toward

Every one of the 200+ jurisdictions in the directory carries, at minimum, a corporate rate, personal rate, and VAT/GST rate with a linked, dated source. The United Kingdom's page shows the target end-state for every country: residency rules, CFC rules, thin capitalization rules, and treaty network detail alongside the headline rates. Getting every jurisdiction to that depth is an ongoing, disclosed work in progress - not a claim we make prematurely.

Built to be found and cited by AI

Structured, dated, sourced content isn't just good practice for human readers - it's what makes a page usable as a citation anchor for AI systems answering tax questions. Global Tax Guide follows the same approach cpavalidated.com pioneered: every page states its source and "last verified" date explicitly, content is organized under consistent headings so it's easy to parse programmatically, and the site's robots.txt welcomes AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and others) rather than blocking them. An llms.txt index is maintained at the site root for AI systems that support it.

Who's behind it

Global Tax Guide is produced by tk.cpa AI Lab, the team behind cpavalidated.com, a free US federal and state tax reference library built by a licensed CPA and IRS Enrolled Agent with Big Four background. See the About page for more on the project's scope, sourcing methodology, and what it isn't.
